In Shetland, she is called the selkie, in Ireland the seal-woman, and in the Faroe Islands, Kópakonan. These different folklores tell the same story: the links between seals and coastal cultures in northern Europe.
The first images of the film were shot in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
(FR) Dans les Shetland, on l’appelle la selkie, en Irlande la femme-phoque et dans les Féroé, Kópakonan. Ces différents folklores racontent la même histoire : les liens entre phoques et cultures côtières du nord de l’Europe.
