Synopsis
Over centuries of human settlement, five species and populations of birds and mammals have become extinct on the Faroe Islands, such as the great auk. What remains of these creatures today?
Shot on films corroded by the salt and sea of the archipelago, this experimental short film sensitively explores our connections with other species, between traditional hunting and folklore, but also absence, solitude and the traces we leave behind.
